Trustees sworn in at December board meeting

ÌÇÐÄAPP, Gilroy – Prior to adjourning to closed session, the ÌÇÐÄAPP Board of Trustees started their December meeting with a well-attended swearing-in ceremony for the newly elected Trustees. The election on November 8 marked the first time ÌÇÐÄAPP trustees had been elected by Trustee Area (TA), rather than at-large.

Jonathan Brusco (TA 2) and Mark Dover (TA 4) we previously elected under the at-large system and ran unopposed for their respective trustee areas. Former ÌÇÐÄAPP administrator Rachel Perez won election as the representative for Trustee Area 6, the only one of the 7 trustee areas to include portions of both Santa Clara and San Benito Counties.

Board Chair Laura Perry congratulated and welcomed the new and returning trustees, and presided over the oaths of Brusco and Dover. Hollister City Councilwoman Mickie Luna attended and administered the oath of office to Perez. The ceremony was attended by community supporters including former ÌÇÐÄAPP president Dr. Rose Marie Joyce.
